Covid-19 update

It’s been a tough few days for all of us I’m sure.

We all face uncertainty.

I’ve been hitting the cancellation button constantly, which is a strange feeling as I only hit it for the first time in 10 years on Monday. I have enjoyed hosting families here in Caister for all that time and boosting local businesses by bringing quality tourism to the village. Thank you to my previous guests, most of you I really enjoyed chatting with 😂 So I hope to be here in future years to welcome returning and new guests but bills have to be paid somehow. When I figure it out I’ll let you all know how...

With the future being so hard to predict and in order to protect my local community I have decided to close the cottage until the 30th April. This date will be moved in line with government advice but I don’t want to be responsible for bringing covid-19 to my neighbours, friends and residents of our fine village.

Despite the financial issues this will create I have decided to refund all guests booked to 30th April in full and will continue to do so as needed. Although my terms clearly state there are no refunds we are all in trouble at this time and my overdraft should cover all outstanding bookings 🤨 It’s not our fault that we are in this situation and we need to look after each other.

Free Kia E-Niro at Caister Beach Cottages

At Caister Beach Cottages we offer FREE EV charging in all our holiday cottages to ensure a worry and stress free experience during your stay in Caister-on-Sea enabling you to explore our fabulous county with ease. Each cottage has its own British made Viridian EV Eco Lite charger 7 kW Mennekes Type 2 charger for the exclusive use of your Kia e-Niro or Soul EV. Charging at the cottages is FREE from 00:30 to 04:30 or a simple cost price pence at other times.

Simple and Easy to Plugin and Charge your Kia

Caister-on-Sea is a dog friendly beach year round, seals swimming past while you stroll on our soft sands, all less than ten steps away from the cottages. Pop out for a cheeky GnT in the afternoon or evening to catch a moonrise over the water. If you want a mind blowing experience then a short 2 kWh drive to Horsey beach will amaze you with the seal colony living there and the hundreds lazing on the sands. Young kids? A 6 kWh drive to Bewilderwood is a magical enchanted woodland based on the book and is always a favourite of my family. Charge overnight upon your return ready for the following days adventures. As EV (Hyundai Kona 64) owners I’m more than happy to advise you on tried and tested days out and places to charge while there.
